Contact your Mobile phone carrier. I currently use AT&T because they provided me a great “new consumer” offer. It also relies on where in San Diego that you live as to which providers offer service. Cox cable is additionally a good selection. I strongly advise calling around and using offers from one to see what another one will do for you in order to compete for your business.

Hello Russ
Sorry to say however I do not think you are going to get a fully-accurate answer because it depends on where you live to say for sure who has the best coverage.
I would recomend to you check out www.howardforums.com
The have an online forum for all the carriers, you will get truthful real life responses there from individuals that stay in San Diego and are actually into smart phones and technology. Best of luck in your step
Cheers

What is a good job for a college student to do homework while they are working and still get decent pay?

I live in San Diego (so its an urban area) and am in college, I am hoping to get a job that pays reasonably (which would basically be anything above the minimum wage slave rate) well where I can work during the daytime (no night jobs) where I would be able to do some of my homework while I am at work, which would be something such as a job where you are sitting down and deal with customers where there would be slow times.

I am not interested in work at home jobs, please do not spam this post with your scams. This could be a good source of info for other college students who want to get some of their school work done while making a little extra money so please post if you have any ideas or have experience with this yourself.
When I was in college, the highest paying campus job for undergrads was working in the computer lab as a tech to answer questions about networking, email, change paper in the printer, etc. It took some training because my school had different comp. Sci. Compilers and statistics software that we had to know about, but overall it was a good job. Flexible hours, good balance of busy time and down time. There were some nut jobs but that comes with any kind of customer service. I also worked on the side doing res. Hall networking where I’d make sure dorm rooms were properly hooked up to campus networking. The work wasn’t as steady and pay was lower, but in combination with the labs, I was never short of spending cash. You’ll have definitely time to do homework and if you spend a little effort to learn the systems beyond basic staff orientation you’ll also have a marketable job skill as a backup to whatever you want to do after college. I remember the summer after graduation I fixed a couple of computers to get by before I got a real day job. Hope that helps.

On-site services like Geek Squad or, AHEM, the vastly superior Cagin Computing will pay higher.

On-site companies will expect you to have at least 5+ years experience. This is because when your in a store, you can turn to your co-worker and ask. When at a client’s house or office your on your own.

That depends, does your computer have a photography program? I make my money on the side by repairing old photographs, and makeing copies of family photos. The programs these days are so easy. It would probably only take you a few weeks to master them, and a few advertisments, a word here and there to your friends, can bring in a small income, or if you really like it, a substantial amount.
How can I get my Nikon S4 repaired under warranty?

Last October (in 2006) I bought a Nikon Coolpix S6 camera from Office Depot store in Chicago. I brought it from US to India. The service center says I have to send it to US to avail the warranty. They say it’s lens is not working and it requires replacement.

I am not very sure what to do? Is there any surety that I would get back the camera in proper shape If I mail it to Nikon US from New Delhi, India. This was one of my most cherished buy so all timely responses are most welcome. Thank you.

Package it correctly, in original boxes if you have them. If not look for similar packaging there, as you remember how you unpacked it. Then pack that box inside another box with bubble wrap or styrofoam eggs/peanuts. As this should take care of accidental drops. Also remember to address both boxes incase the one inside falls out of bigger box.

Insure it and send FedEx, UPS or DHL, and ask for a return receipt. Then also get the tracking certificate so you can follow the package. It is good enough for companies like Hewlett Packard and Dell to send computers all around the world, it should work for a camera. I sent mine to New Jersey from Alsaka, so almost as far as you depending on how yours comes, and which side of US it is going to. Find out which warrenty center covers you and your location and address if you still have a US address.

Before tossing your computer or calling an expert, if your computer is running slow or acting up, try these 6 San Diego Computer Repair Tips to shape up your computer:

Only one of us owns suspenders and glasses, but we’re all top-notch professionals!

San Diego Computer Repair Tip #1:

Is your computer running slow? It may just be too full! Delete duplicate copies of files, old files or programs you’ll never use again.

San Diego Computer Repair Tip #2: To make browsing go faster, delete temporary internet files and turn off unnecessary toolbars.

To do this, hover your mouse over unwanted toolbar, right click and uncheck. Delete temporary internet files, cookies and browsing history (warning- this last one will make the “history” of what websites you’ve visited disappear, don’t do this if you like seeing what websites you visited in the past).

San Diego Computer Repair Tip #3: Close some open browsers and tabs!

Many times we’ll see people’s computer where they have so many browser tabs open that the tabs look like vertical lines at the top or bottom o f their screens! Could YOU keep track of 20 or 30 sites at a time without going crazy?! Well, neither can your computer. Your pc’s memory can only keep track of so much going on at a time too! Forcing it to think about too much at one time causes it to slow down (at a minimum), or freeze up and crash all together- leading to a lot of the kind of San Diego computer repair that aGeek2go ends up taking care of.

San Diego Computer Repair Tip #4: Clean up your computer once in a while by doing a full service tune up!

If you’re a heavy computer user, downloading and upload music, videos and other files all day every day, you’ll want to do this every two to three months or otherwise you’ll end up needing some serious pc repair. If, on the other hand, you only use your computer for browsing, creating simple documents and emailing, your pc help needs will be minimal and you probably only need to do this every 6 months or so. Most operating systems have a basic program to take care of a basic tune up, or call a professional (ahem, friendly professionals like our Geeks from aGeek2Go is a great option! to get complete, full service tune-ups and deep cleanings.

San Diego Computer Repair Tip #5: Install and keep up-to-date San Diego Virus Removal and anti-virus software on your computer.

Paying attention to our Urgent Advisories can help keep your pc safe!

Also, make sure that you have malware removal and anti-malware, as well as anti-spyware computer. aGeek2Go has some free San Diego virus removal and anti-malware software on our Store page. Just click here, scroll half-way down the page and you’ll see it.

San Diego Computer Repair Tip #6: Avoid clicking on links, pictures, sites or links within emails that you aren’t 100% sure are safe!

Bad-guy and bad-gal hackers and code writers have gotten really sneaky lately, putting spyware, viruses and malware in sneaky places. Read our Urgent Advisories page for some tips on what to watch out for to keep your computer safe.

If you’ve tried all of these tips and still need San Diego Computer Repair, give aGeek2Go a call and we’d be glad to help out- 858-222-4335.

What is the average electricity bill in san diego? Mine has been $600 without even a dishwasher!?

I am renting a small(1 bedroom) cottage attached to a larger(2,000sf)house. There is a built in pool. We devide the electric by 1/3(total of people in both houses. We are getting electric bills of $565 and even $665! FOR 1 month! I watch tv in the dark at night and the 2 other people are gone all day. Is it possible electricity can be stolen without a line being run from the house? My share of the electric has been as much as $160 and I dont have a washer, dryer or dishwasher..something is SO wrong. It is not the heat part of the bill..it is the electric.
I have another 6 months on this lease but this is crazy.
I am not sure the electric company will talk to me since the bill comes in the lardlords name and he just gives me a copy to pay him. Hope somebody has an idea what it could be..thanks

WHOA! I live in a 2500 square foot home with a dishwasher that runs nightly, a washer and dryer that do 3 loads or so a week, computers (2) and TVs on almost all day, landscaping lights at night and a re-circulating pump 6 man Hot Springs Spa we use almost daily. My highest electric bill this year was at Christmas when I decorate my home like DisneyLand and that was $250 for the month.

Call SDGE and ask for an energy audit. Are you actually seeing the bill? I’m in north county, our bills include natural gas and electric. If you have the actual bill, with the account number on it, go on-line and take the energy audit first. Then with the account number, call SDGE and ask for them to come out and check the meter. Find out WHAT is sucking that kind of kilowatt usage! Is there a heater in the pool that you could turn off? They came out to our house a couple of years ago to do the on-site energy audit and discovered some ways we could reduce our usage and save money, but we have NEVER paid bills even close to what you’re seeing in the 9 years we’ve lived here! It is possible though that something that you don’t know about is sucking electricity and you need to find out what that is!

Sure. In fact, there are tons. What do your grades look like? Your SATs? What region of the US would you prefer?

I have no idea if you’d get into these schools, but some schools that are great for your field include: U Illinois Urbana, U Wisconsin Madison, Carnegie Mellon, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Princeton, Cal Tech, U Texas Austin, Georgia Tech, U Washington, UCLA, U Maryland College Park, Columbia, UC San Diego, U Michigan Ann Arbor, and lots more.

In fact, most of the “flagship” public universities – the best public uni in your home state – have strong programs in this field. So don’t forget to look there.

Did you know that sometimes you can do a lot of it yourself?

Try these things for simple computer repair San Diego

Ryan gives some good tips below on solving some basic computer challenges, whether it’s on your laptop, PC or desktop.

Read Ryan’s article on Do-It-Yourself Computer Repair San Diego here!

In this article, Ryan suggests:

1) A very basic but very valuable tip when dealing with computer problems is the Control-Alt-Delete hot key combo. Hold down the Control and Alt keys simultaneous and then hit the delete button. If done once, this will open the Task Manager in windows, allowing you to end any malfunctioning programs. If done twice, it will restart the computer, hopefully solving the error in the reboot.

2) Websites will often install information on your computer without your knowledge, commonly known as spy ware. This is what has happened if you find that your home page has changed to a different website. In order to avoid this problem, it is best to update your anti-spy software often. You can easily change your homepage back, but be aware of the links you click on various websites.

…

5) If your computer’s speed is still lagging and you think it might be time to defragment, the process is really quite simple. Before beginning, be sure to back up your files and check your power supply. If your computer loses power during defragmentation, it will crash and might cause permanent damage. To defragment simply open the Disk Defragmentation program in System Tools. Click Analyze and it will determine whether your computer would benefit from a defragmentation….

(Read the rest of Ryan’s Do It Yourself Computer Repair San Diego article by clicking here)

Ryan’s suggestions are good ones to start. Now, be careful about defragging too often, as this will wear down your hard drive. Also, make sure that you do a disk check and disk clean-up, as this can make a big difference too. Get rid or or close programs that you don’t need. Definitely get rid of the spyware you have, and be careful when downloading new software (especially free software, apps or games etc.) and be careful to not accept the downloads of the extra programs, tool bars etc.- doing so can lead to malicious viruses or malware, allow somebody to spy on your private information, or at the least, slow your computer way down.

How often do viruses corrupt files?

A while back my computer got hit with the FBI Moneypak virus. I don’t believe this virus does anything to your files. It’s just a scam to make people give their money away to gain access on their computers again. The virus was on my computer 3-5 days before I got it cleaned. During this time. My laptop was on safe mode 99% of the time. I purchased 2 years of the Webroot SecureAnywhere anti-virus software and it’s completely cleaned me of any potential threats and stops any incoming threats from coming. Also, I wrote down the exact size of my folder that holds all my files down to the last byte and when I went to check my folder size after the virus(s) were cleaned, the folder size had not changed, which is a good indicator that nothing happened to my files. I’m still paranoid though. Like I said, I was hit with the FBI moneypak virus. Could my files have been messed with because of this virus?

admin answers:

No. The FBI moneypack virus is not a file infecting virus. It’s simply ransomware (meaning it locks down your computer and holds it ransom until you pay). Click here to read more about the FBI Moneypak Virus and how to get rid of it.

Virus’s such as Sality and Parite are file infecting virus’s and as such, will append their code to legitimate executable files on your machine. But, the FBI money pack virus is not like this. So you won’t have anything to worry about.

Also, This particular malware (reveton) will not have corrupted any of your personal data. Some similar types years ago actually encrypted data.
So you have nothing to worry about,
However I would not have wasted money on an anti virus,Webroot will not stop this happening again.
Use a program called Sandboxie. It;s free and would prevent this malware taking hold

And if you’re running Webroot — they should remove all traces of the malware anyway. aGeek2Go has some free virus removal and malware removal tools here (click here and scroll down towards the middle of our Store page) If you still have problems, aGeek2Go is great at virus removal san diego- just contact us directly and we can help you out.

Its called the FBI moneypak virus. Its ransomeware

Here are straightforward instructions on how to remove this virus

Please note these methods may not work depending on which version of this virus you have been infected with

1: First turn off your computer

2: Turn It back on

3: While its turning on repeatedly press the “f8″ key until you come up to a selection of choices

4: There should be a choice that says “Safe Mode with Networking”

5: Select that and start up the computer

6: Open your internet and install Malwarebytes

7: Run a full scan with Malwarebytes

8: Delete anything it detects immediately

9: Start Up yoour computer normally

Another way to do it if this fails is to set a system restore. This may not work depending of which version of the virus you have. Just start it up in safe mode (without networking) then set a system restore

There are plenty of internet services providers in San Diego but San Diego broadband internet service to get optimal use of your computer. They use fiber optic that provide you fastest internet speed. You have to shop around, and be able to be a little patient, so that if the deal you want isn’t available today, it will be next week. Also, be willing to shop your current provider, letting them know you’re ready to go ABC competitor, who’s offering you x speed for your desktop, and you want the same deal! For example, I currently get download speeds of just about 12 MB/S from AT&T, and about 1 MB upload. I pay 1/2 what they quoted me, and have the info from my competitors that I would gladly move to should AT&T want to change my deal. Be informed, shop around, call more than once (sometimes one sales person won’t budge, whereas another, especially towards the end of the month when they’re trying to make their quota, just might). Happy shopping!

You don’t have to get a bundled service with Cox. You can just get what you need for your computer/ desktop/ laptop internet with them.

Department of Justice Scam That Is Ransomware Malware

Good Morning Mr. Phelps……………… Sometimes I feel like should always start my bulletins this way.. Some may recognize this as the opening greeting that the Head of the Impossible Missions Team gets from IMF Headquarters when they are about to be asked to perform an IMPOSSIBLE Task.

This is a real time report; this was just discovered this very morning.

I was called out on this one by one of my favorite clients Bob Baker, Love to see this guy because we always have a ton of laughs, he told me his machine had been locked out by the Department of Justice. A quick search on the global net and NO ONE has seen this yet. Now Bob is a fun guy and I was thinking he may have had too much sun on the Back 9, but hey, he’s fun so let’s go for a visit. I get there log on and WALA. Ole Bob is the very first documented case we know of anywhere.

Could this Department of Justice Scam be real?

Just a few months ago I was informing and Warning you all about the FBI MoneyPak Scam that has spread across the globe. Well I have a new one for you. It seems these same perps have morphed their VERY Profitable scam and have re-launched it with a new design and NEW Federal Agency to scare you into sending them your hard earned Cash.

Anyway, today we’re looking at the Re- Release of the same scam just under a different wrapper. The United States Department of Justice Scam. Now you are locked out with a warning page that claims you have to pay the $300 fine. Yes THREE TIMES what FBI wanted ( maybe it is for budget reasons?) Well, you’re infected with the latest version of this ransomware. It’s not a virus. It can’t delete your files or inject .doc files but it can lock you out, and in many cases cause people to do 10 times more REAL damage futzing around blindly trying to remove it themselves..

Most of the time, ransomware locks up user’s desktop, disables task manager and other system utilities to avoid the termination. However, Just Like the FBI MoneyPak ransomware, the new Justice Department Scam Ransomware Version takes it to the entirely new level by adding a video AND audio recording Icon with green lights as if your face and voice are being recorded for your pending Criminal prosecution to follow in real time. The funny thing is that these Icons show up even if your laptop or desktop don’t have a built-in camera!

I have to admit that NEW Department of Justice scam is a just as convincing as its little Brother ( I call it little Brother because this one wants three times the cash to “ Unlock” you) looking scam/fraud. Like its little Brother, it has the official Department of Justice logo at the top and lists victim’s IP address, location, and the name of your ISP. The fake warning claims that your PC has been locked by The Department of Justice because you downloaded or distributed copyrighted material or viewed child pornography. Creepy, isn’t it? What is NEW is they call you out for having unlicensed Software too. (Who doesn’t cough… cough) Now, if you don’t pay the fine unlike the older version they do not tell you that you will go to plain ole Jail , NO they will send you to full on PRISON! What is more, you have only 72 hours to buy MoneyPak cash top-up card from Walmart or Kmart. Like we said it has jumped for $100.00 to $300.00 to unlock your machine.

The CHERRY on top? Now in Bold red fonts they warn you that if you try and unlock the machine yourself it will trigger a full on reformat by remote and you will lose all of your files, photos, and EVERYTHING!

Feel free to giggle when you read that part. It is a Technical Impossibility. BUT if you do plan to do it yourself follow the instructions STRICTLY or you CAN lose your data.

Cyber crooks are truly imaginative guys, aren’t they? Masquerading as the Department of Justice? Most people start to panic when they see such fake warnings. Just like before, you can’t let anyone know this happened; otherwise you can get arrested or even worse – have a criminal record or listed as a registered sex offender. Let’s imagine this happens at work. Would you tell your colleagues about that? Probably not. And this scheme really works. Cyber crooks want you to act immediately on your first impulse. I know it cruel but it works. Most importantly, don’t panic. Take a deep breath and think about it for a second. If you had done ether of those the punishment would probably be drastically more dire than just a simple $300 fine, right? Just don’t fall into the Department of Justice scam.

Luckily they just re-worked their graphics and raised their level of greed. They haven’t reworked their attack yet so we still know how to beat them and get you back to surfing again. The New Version- Department of Justice Scam removal- is relatively easy for anyone with above average computer skills. This ransomware doesn’t inject explorer.exe. It injects iexplorer.exe and downloads additional files from remote web servers. It makes numerous modifications to the system. The virus actively monitors Task Manager and loads newly created Desktop with the fake warning. Please note, there is no restore operation, so the desktop will never be reverted back to previous state. That means, even if you pay the ransom, the fake I warning won’t go away.

Like the FBI MoneyPak ransomware it is distributed using the Blackhole exploit kit. Simple visiting an infected website is enough to trigger this exploit kit which will download a malicious DLL file onto your computer.

So, how do you get the Department of Justice Scam Ransomware off your computer?

This ransomware downloads the fake warning from the internet so if you simply unplug your network cable and manually turn your computer off the virus won’t show up after the reboot (at least it shouldn’t). Another way for virus removal is to reboot your computer in Safe Mode and remove malicious registry keys and files manually. One way or another, you MUST scan your computer with legitimate anti-malware software properly remove this ransomware and its remnants.

aGeek2go Virus Removal San Diego and Malware Removal is our specialty!

Safe surfing and the aGeek2Go Team, just as with all computer repair San Diego needs, will stay on this one- the Department of Justice Scam- for you.

admin answers:

First drawing. A proper tablet is better than a pen mouse. For free vector drawing software, have a look at the open souce Inkscape, and its free Flash swf output plug-in. That will let you create vector artwork that you can then get into an animation software. For animation, have a look at the free trials of the following affordable starter 2D animation software: CrazyTalk Animator, Anime Studio, and the cheaper version of Toon Boom. See which one suits you.

Steps in making a cartoon:
I’d use one of the software packages from Toon Boom. There animation software for home users is 50% off until valentines day: http://beta.toonboom.com/promo

If you have a tablet a free software you can use to animate using it is Plaster Paper (http://plasticanimationpaper.dk/).

Once you get used to that I’d save up and transition to Toon Boom Studio (www.toonboom.com) software package, which is similar to but cheaper than Adobe Flash.

To add voices you’ll need a microphone and a software program to record the audio. Audacity is a free program that works well: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

To make clear animation you need to study the principles of animation. Here are the first six illustrated in a YouTube Video:

For lip sync you’ll need to study the phenemes and match each sound to the correct mouth shape frame by frame. Here’s a list of the mouth shapes:

Books to read:
To really do animation like the pros you have to study the principles of animation as laid out in the Disney book “The Illusion of Life”. For the technical timing skills needed to understand how people move Richard William’s book “The Animator Survivor’s Kit” is invaluable.

You need a graphics program such as Photoshop or Corel painter, that has layers. You can paste in each scanned drawing in as its own layer (just like an animation cel), and apply a composite method to the layer so that all the white disappears, and it appears transparent with just the black lines. (It’s called ‘Gel’ in Painter. I don’t remember the term in Photoshop.) You can then add the color on a separate layer.

Or you can just use the magic wand tool to select all the white outside your drawn lines and delete it, but that usually leaves you with ugly jaggies around your drawing.

Then when all the layers are colored and positioned to your satisfaction, you can flatten it into a single image.

PC..

PC=Variety of specs, options, quality, prices, vendors, support
Mac=One vendor, limited options, still more expensive. Look below for more information..

Today, Macs use a subset of PC hardware. Why spend extra to get the same CPU chips, graphics cards and OS X isn’t as secure as you think..

Don’t believe the lies that Macs are better than PCs at graphics/animation.. Dreamworks Animation http://www.dreamworksanimation.com/ under studio click on Technology of Animation, an independent film maker I know uses PCs, a graphic artist I used to know uses PCs also.

A number of PCs can also run OS X (Mac OS) http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=os+x+on+pc&btnG=Google+Search&aq=0&oq=os+x+on+ as well just that Apple makes it illegal in order to get Market share.. The reason why Mac can run native Windows is because it is using a subset of PC hardware,

If you decide to buy a Mac for running Windows, you will still have to get the same virus/spyware protection, and run into the same issues as a regular PC.

Now is a Mac worth buying for OS X?

I say: NO… For the following reasons…

ADVANTAGES WINDOWS :
Aprox 90% of the market is Windows and most PCs have windows already pre-installed.
1) Some websites require Internet Explorer, to run IE on Mac you really get ies4osx which is the Windows version of IE running really buggy and illegal if you don’t have a legitimate copy of Windows.
2) Supports more devices (printers and other things you hook into the computer).
3) More business software/games
4) Want the dock on OS X (Mac)? Google/yahoo rocketdock, objectdoc.
5) Used by businesses.

ADVANTAGES LINUX :
1) FREE (most versions are)
2) Install software by either 1) Synaptic Package Manager, 2) Add/Remove 3) Opening a .deb or .rpm file (depending on distribution)
2) Like the Mac OS X effects? Go yahoo/google COMPIZ FUSION which can do any cool effect a Mac can do and many ore….

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3gkX9HDfEE (there is no flickering when you use it like on the video, not sure why the person has the flicker)
3) Mac OS X Doc? Google/yahoo Avant Window Navigator.Cairo Dock, http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3rf5q_cairo-dock-mac-os-x-leopard-dock-on_tech

4) It is FASTER/MORE SECURE to surf on the internet
5) Some Windows programs work with Wnehq/Crossover (also avail on Mac, but why pay $$$)

SECURITY
Mac OS X was hacked in 2006 less than 30 minutes, and within 2 minutes in a contest in 2008, and within 10 seconds in 2009. In 2008, Linux and Vista were not hacked until another day when restrictions were lowered. Vista was next, and then Linux. In 2009 Windows 7 fell shortly after the Mac but Linux was unscathed.
Macs are standardized with Cameras, if your Mac gets hacked, the hacker can turn on your camera with more ease.
Please Note: All OS’s have vulnerabilities.

VIRUSES
Mac OS X has viruses (and significantly on the rise), a friend of mine has a virused Mac. As more users use Macs, more viruses will come out for it. Especially when users think “they are safe”.

http://www.macsimumnews.com/index.php/archive/poll_have_you_noticed_an_increase_in_malware_viruses_etc_on_your_mac/

QUALITY/PROBLEMS
Contrary to belief, Macs are not better quality. Apple also has been changing suppliers to try to “lower the price” and thus lowering quality. Even with the lower prices, Macs still cost more, they spend a higher percent of budget trying to make it look pretty, and marketing.

Sample of problems: Deleting your Data (Snow Leopard), Overheating Macbooks, OS X- not responding to keyboard, some units with 16bit screens, etc. Apple statistics are misleading since Mac users with problem machines are more likely to go out and buy a new computer than PC users. Apple is lowering prices which means you can expect lower quality than in the past. Apple had switched the manufacturers producing parts. OS X also has problems slowing down.

Repairs are more expensive than PCs since the IMac, Mac Mini are compact units, and Apple charges a premium for their services. Some repairs can be done by another repair service but the compact design of the computer causes problems.
With an IMac, if the problem is with the monitor, the whole computer would have to be brought in.
IMac and Mac mini lack expansion.

PRICE
A similar equipped PC is much cheaper to purchase than Mac. Lets use Dell (but you can compare with another PC Brand if you like)

**(DESKTOP)

PLEASE NOTE: I compare Apple Mac’s vs Dells best deal. If you really want an all-in one the Dell all-in-one has more ram, wireless keyboard and mouse and equivalent to $400 for free making the Imac still more expensive when you matching specs. Personally I don’t think the All-in-Ones are a good choice, and consider them overpriced, lack expandability and repairs both more expensive and require the entire computer.

PS: Apple knows that they need to make Macintosh look different than PC so all Macs except the Mac Pro will not have a tower option. Apple’s low end lacks expandability but it makes the Mac “look different”, if Mac had a tower for low-end, more people would realize the similarities between the two.

Dell XPS8000: ($1018)

The Mac Mini since it has no monitor, keyboard, mouse, very skimpy on options and setup and is not the best deal… The IMac is better price than the Mac Mini.

IMac ($1200)
